Hello! I have not had a desire to post anything here since the beginning of the new year. But a friend started a blog and I had to log in to post a comment and here I am ;-) So far this year has gone by fast and its been good. Julia finished 1st grade and Mason started preschool and they enjoyed their time. We have been camping once this year and need to go some more.

Both Julia and Mason tried t-ball and they liked it. Julia fought me on it, and I told her to try it and once she did. She loved it ;-) Mason enjoyed it as much as a 3 year would lol.

I signed Julia up for swim with one of our local swim teams. I wanted her to learn how to swim. Safety first! She started out not knowing and as this season if wrapping up she has been competing in swim meets and is doing well. She found her competitive side in swimming. She has won some ribbons and is very proud of her self as we are of her ;-) This weekend will be her last swim meet its the championships. I hope its will be cooler weather since we will be outside and its a 2 day event in a hot town.

I have continued to work out at the gym and losing more weight/inches and gaining more muscle!! I have not looked or felt so good ;-) It has been a long road but I am taking it. There has been a few weeks like these past that I have fell off the wagon to say, but everyday is a new day to start a new.

I have recently decide to Home school Julia and work with Mason this year. I will be attending a home school convention this Friday to learn about the curriculum and tools. I am very excited about it. I have many reasons why I chose to do it and I am very excited to start this year. I am going down a road I never thought I could do. In the past the thought of home schooling was a laugh a joke like yeah right, but now I don't feel that at all. Maybe its because I grown as a mother and a person. But what ever the reasons are I am thankful. I have goals and I feel very confident in reaching them ;-)

This summer has been busy and fun many beach days and swim days Its nice to not have to wake up and be somewhere sometimes like this am! I have my sister Kaitlan staying with us for awhile, she will be going home tomorrow. its nice to have them here.

I also started a peace.love.swap in April. I organize a children's clothing and gear swap in our community. I am wanting to expand to Gilroy and surrounding communities near by. It has not happen outside our community yet but its in the plans. So far I have had 2 events and they are great. As I have more the word will get out and the swapper list will grow.

But for right now my main goal is to get schooling set up. once I have my rhythm down I can move onto other adventures.

I wish I had time to upload a few photos but I don't. I need to get us ready for the gym. I went yesterday and today is a new day I will go. 19 more days down to form my habit ;-)

Past week

This past week was a good week :-) I went to the gym every day and worked hard. Training twice a week and the rest is cardio. My muscles were awakened. and my back was tight but OK. I finally finished all the bread I had stored in the freezer from the stores. I am now going to bake my own ;-) We will see how long it last. I am hopeful.

Rich is going to Texas tomorrow and will be gone for the whole week. Training class for work! I told him to find out the good spots for BBQ yum lucky guy. He will be flying back in on Thursday late in San Jose. It works out we are going to a hockey game that night but we will have to hang out till 11:30pm then drive home. I am not sure if Julia will be able to get up in the morning to go to school. We will try ;-)

So our lives are getting a bit busy at least mine with the gym and home chores. But I am enjoying it. I would like to start making the dress I have for Julia. Also finish her duvet cover I am making. Then there is this cute project I want to make for Julia's Class for Valentines Day Party.

Home sick

Julia stayed home today. She was extremely tired and she complained that her throat hurt. No fever and she was better later in the day. As a mama you know when your babies need to stay home. lol So she did some crafts and we watched Hereos together just took it easy. I made turkey enchiladas for dinner but she had no interest in them. She asked for 1 pancake and didn't even finish it. She loves her pancakes. Poor girl ;-)

From yesterday's post my bread turned out good. But with mixed ingredients. Today however I had the correct things and made the dough. After the first hour of rising, I never knew dough could be beautiful. lol what a difference and it was so exciting knowing that this is going to be great.

I just took it out of the oven and it looks wonderful. I made a loaf for Laura too. She will be by later to pick it up to go with her 15 bean soup. I also made some breakfast muffins for the week. Baking. I don't bake things very often. But the mixer is making me lol. I wonder if it will wear off? I hope not.

So I just cut a slice of the bread OMG!! Its just like sandwich bread. I always buy whole wheat of grain bread. This one that I made is white. Now if I can swap some whole wheat flour and some flax seed in it. and it come out great then I will never buy bread at the store again. I read somewhere that if you can make your own it will save you $$. I spend about $1.80 - $2.00 a loaf on bread so this will help out ;-) Can't wait for DH to try it out.

Some of you know I got a stand mixer from DH. I asked him if he had any request and he said bread. We do have a bread machine but I don't make good bread in it. But my Great aunt does. WOW its good. so back to today....I was talking with Laura last night about bread and so I decide Sunday I would attempt it. And I did I used my bread flour but ran out so I moved on to my whole wheat flour and ran out, skipped over to my neighbor who saves the day with apf and so these loafs are made with 3 different kinds of flour. Not to mention I forgot to add the butter and milk mixture that was cooling on the stove. I noticed it and quickly poured it in. Oops we will see how it comes out. Let it do its rising a bit longer than it called for. Baked it and it was good. I little well a lot of whole grain. I love it. Had it with lentil soup . Made 2 loafs and gave the other to my neighbor ;-) I will attempt to make more tomorrow. I went to the store and got more ingredients.

As I was rolling it out, little man got a shoe box and put it next to me at the counter to stand on and see what I was doing. Then I stepped away and he proceeded to take it upon himself to roll the dough out. It was so darn cute. Then little pinches of dough here and there. Here's to many more loafs!! HA

Life after 3 am

Finally fell asleep after 3 am but before it was filled with snores around me.  everyone in a separate room.  And of course up early ;-)  I watched HANGOVER. That was funny ;-0 Rich would of liked it if he had not fallen asleep on me. "I love you baby"

Had a lovely chat with my Auntie this morning. She lives over in CO.  She has pointed me the direction to get fitted for running shoes. Thanks Jocelyn ;-) 

I was uploading pictures yesterday and WOW my folders are a fraking mess! I have to go back and organize so much for having a system. Thats all for now..........

Later in the day my dearest sister Laura invited us over for dinner. Perfect timing ;-) It made me so happy. As us gals were chatting away in the kitchen about stuff I looked over to where the guys were at and there was Jack Jack. He was sitting in the chair with the men snacking and watching them converse back and forth about god knows what. He got a bit shy but did let me snap a few. Dinner was great but the company was even better. Thanks Steve and Laura ;-)

Good Bye Christmas

Well today was good. Finished taking down the lights outside and packed it all away. We all said good bye Christmas see you next year. Its so much faster when you don't have icicle lights to put up and take down.

I am enjoying the house put back together however now it seems so bare like we just moved in or something. Which inspires me to make a change in the living room. Maybe some new sewn curtains. We have this sliding glass door to the back yard that is right next to another window on a small wall. At the moment we have vertical white blinds that are so boring and dull and ugly on the door. Then green curtains that blend in with the wall color. I am thinking the whole wall one panel of curtains ceiling to floor. In an exciting color. Now that I have learned how to sew I am willing and ready ;-)

Julia played with her friends today and Rich and I with Mason's helped put back our garage. I love parking in the garage ;-) What a difference it makes in the morning going to school. So today was a wonderful day with the family and with my guy ;-) A perfect 1st day to twenty ten.

We were all thinking of the things that we did or happened in 2009 and I would like to share with you what they were.

Julia started Kindergarten
Mason learned how to jump
Julia got her ears pierced
Mason had his first visit to the Emergency room
Julia joined Girl Scouts she is a Daisy
Rich had a life changing injury
I lost 15 lbs
Fell in love with the gym over again ;-)
I learned how to sew and have not looked back
Rich got promoted
Cut my hair and changed the color

Thats all that comes to my mind at the moment. I plan on having it a running list ha ha.

What are your goal this year? I plan on living with less. Less of everything except my coffee creamer. Simplify my life. Take the children to an art museum. Visit the beach more and have ice cream there every time we go. The shop is so colorful and fun as soon as you walk into it, it makes you smile ;-) Go to Yosemite again.

We are currently into the series Battlestar Galactica. Its a great show. Netflix is awesome. And so is my neighbor Ed and Jenny who lets us borrow their movies they have collected over the years. They could open up a small rental shop ;-) We are excited about Weeds new season being released. It seems like forever since we have watched it. Then we got into True Blood. I have seen all the episode but dear husband has not. I couldn't wait and went ahead and watched them online. I am so bad. But I think it will be coming out with a new season very soon.

Rich started doing his stained glass again. It makes me happy to see him do something when he comes home beside go online or to bed. Ha Ha The pieces that he has done are beautiful!

I am continuing to make Christmas ornaments passed the holidays. Things I didn't get a chance to try or finish. I think its great no hurry. I have a project I would like to do for Julia's Valentines class thing. Felt Fortune cookies MS crafts.

The picture I was going to upload will have to wait. Camera battery died need to charge will put it up at another time ;-) Have a great night ;-)

WOW you all that have stuck it out you should be so proud. I have been watching but from a distance. I will try again. I am sad that I don't have pages to put together in a book for 2009 it seems like months ago this started. It is always nice to reflect on your year. I will hope for better ;-)

Hello all out there!. I have been away and ready to come back lol. So many things to show and talk about.

Julia started Kindergarten and is almost 5. Summer has come and almost gone. Thank goodness for that. I am so ready for rainy days. I get tired of looking at the sun sometimes. It is probably because when there is sun here there is heat lol. (maybe I should move somewhere cooler, that would be Wonderful!)

My birthday is approaching in the next few days, My last year of twenties ;-)

I am sewing and enjoying it so much. I made Julia a backpack for school! that was fun. I am working on a quilt and hope to be done in the next few days or so ;-) (we will see)

My garden is past its prime and is just a mess I want to pull it out but there is still some veggies left. I'm ready to make everything clean and start a new.

DH woke up one morning and was in sever pain. 2 er visits and tons of appointments later, we figured out he has a few herniated disk in his neck with pinch nerves. lost a lot of strength and feeling because of it. He was out on disability and home for a long time ;-) He has finally returned to his job but taking it easy as much as he can.

Taking care of everyone is tiring ;-) And Mason made it hard to sit at the compute any length of time to do anything so my poor project went on the back burner, along with LO's I have been dieing to do. ... that's my past month or so in a nut shell. ;-) I will be back soon I need to mend a few things he he ;p for Julia and hopefully up load some pictures.

I finished Julia's Apron. She picked out the fabric, the rickrack, and the color of thread nothing matches but everything goes together in a beautiful way ;-) She loves it and so do I ;-)

Our Independence Day celebration started with home made Salsa from our garden veggies, Guacamole. As you can see the hand of my dear boy in the bowls. He LOVED my salsa!! He started with the chip and sucked the salsa off of it, then he moved on to use his hands. It made me happy to see him eating it ;-) The rest of menu was very simple, Dogs and hot links, some beans and watermelon. O and of course the Iced teas, and tasty brews ;-)

After running through the sprinklers and playing with friends we took a walk after dinner to a friends house to say HI! Stayed for a cocktail and a few beers headed back home just in time to see our neighbors put on their shows along with ours ;-)

Well its been to hot to be outside!! Sunny but too warm! Here in the late afternoon I took a second to escape my air conditioner for a moment to capture what I found. Our peach is turning color ;-) When the kids and DH planted it 3 of the peaches fell off and this is the one that survived. It's coming along nicely.

The sprinklers were going late today because the timer got turned off. But because of that I found a rainbow ;-) Looking around our backyard there is so much green The sunflowers have died down and are drying out now. The red from the tomatoes are hidden from the thickness they are surrounded by and the yellow squash is to low to see. I need more colors in the yard!! Don't get me wrong green is nice better than brown and yellow in the yard lol. It was nice to see the colors of the "rainbow" in the yard even if it was for the length of time the sprinklers were on ;-)

$25 dollars for a pair of Crocs and if you leave them outside in the sun and hot heat you might end up with them shrunken. Funny thing is Mine were right next to them and are fine. He only has one shoe that is small too small for my foot even ;-) Here is my attempt to save them by soaking them in water but still nothing. ;-(

Saturday DH cleaned the dryer vents and changed the position of the vent. Mason started wearing Training pants. This was his 2nd day and he has done very well. Its so cute to see him in undies instead of a diaper. ;-)

Friday my plans were to go to Laura's house early in the morning to start our apron project on the sewing machine. I took a shower and when I came out Mason was no longer in our bed but at the foot of the bed asleep. I asked Rich what happened he said he woke up and climbed down and then went back to sleep funny kid. So when I left he was still sleeping there. This would be the 2nd time he has done this. Early in the week when DH was getting ready for work. Mason was in our bed again and he went to brush his teeth and when he came out he said where is Mason? I woke up and he was gone. DH was searching the house and came back in and said Babe I can't find him ;-) I told him the doors and windows are locked I am not to worried lol . SO I got up and he was laying on the ground near the couch so close that dh was not able to see him.

Hello Ladies!! I have been pulled away for awhile, still taking pictures but not posting them every day. I just recently learned how to sew and WOW I am having FUN ;-) Some time ago I was reading Mothering Magazine and there was an article on crafty moms. They featured several different moms and their blogs. I visited them and was pulled to a SouleMama if you haven't been please check it out. From the first time I read her blog I told myself I am learning how to sew lol. It has always been in the back of my head for a long time, but I have always been a bit intimidated about it. NOT NOW!! This picture is of a hospital band. Yes that reads Mason! He had his first hospital visit on Tuesday. I wrote back an earlier blog about how many times I will be taking this boy there and the day has come ;-(

He bit through his bottom lip. It happened to go all the way through. I was at my sister in laws house when it happened. I said I think I need to take him to the emergency room. She then remembered a recent episode of Jon and Kate plus 8 LOL and said that one of the girls did the same thing and she got stitches. So off I went with a blood baby in one hand. Julia stayed with auntie. I was there for 5 hours. We live in a smaller town 30k and it took 5 hours to be seen.

By the time Doc seen us he was debating to give him one stitch for the outside. I told him I had been waiting so long that it already started to heal it self. ;-) Which was true. We left with no stitches and a happy baby with a very fat lip. He was very good while we waited. Now I know when I see a lip again when it needs stitches. Experience... So today he is very well and its healing fast ;-)

This is our Dragon Carrot. Rich pulled it out to see how big it was and it's beautiful. And very tasty ;-) Our carrots this year are doing 10x better than last year. They are so fun to grow in your garden. The cats love to lay in between them from the ground being so cool.

We got home from camping un-loaded and played out front. The weather was perfect. a breeze cool weather and dark clouds ;-) Here Julia asked DH how to play hop scotch so he drew one for her and then I showed her how to play. I caught her in action. This shot is great! ::pat on my back:: LOL

Then I found a slug crossing the side walk. When I was taking these pictures I was out front, My bumm was all up in the air and one of my neighbors drove by, and all I could do was laugh when I heard the car ;-) Thinking to myself what they were seeing ;-)

Our first night we took a walk around and Julia found this neat area hiding in the bushes and tress. It was so beautiful. I wanted to take a picture but it was too dark. Went the next day with the bright sun ;-) The area smelled like Jasmine from these flowers.

This is one of largest trees tipped over that we found. There was so many like this but this was huge ;-)

Our first time at Big Basin, CA. And this is my picture for the day. There was so many awesome shots to post but this one hit me ;-) We spent most of our time climbing and exploring the Redwoods. Loved all the huge trees that had been knocked over by Mother Nature. The root system of a tree is beautiful. You could look and find all sorts of " root" frames around, nature or a loved one. It would be fun to have a project to photograph images framed by existing things. Maybe I will work on that soon. We ran, hid, climbed, and got stuck. A few scraps and a couple mosquito bites. Dirty fingernails, feeling scared from the raccoons fighting outside the tent. The smell of campfire, and coffee brewing on the stove in the early morning. The taste of the coffee after a cold night in the tent.....mmmmmm

We decided to take a last minuet camping trip. I had an idea to make Julia a sketch book. My idea was to have pictures of camping items etc. But Julia had another. This is what she made with some elements from a kit. I then printed it out and made a book. She did so well on the computer. I will have to get her own when she gets older, I can see us all trying to take turns on it and well that will be hard.

Saturday we took a drive over to Livingston. There was an event at Riverdance Farm for cherry, and blueberry picking. Everything was organic and yummy. I now know why blueberries are so costly. They take so much time to pick. It was a first for us and it was so much fun. Here is some of the cherries on one of hundreds of cherry trees. These were DH's favorite tasting cherries. Me and Julia have a liking for the Rainer ones ;-) They are sweeter. There was a bunch of crafts for the kiddies and yummy food, and lots of info on Gardening. I will be re-visiting this farm in the future.

My cat is scared of the camera. So it's rare that I get a shot of him. This was him following me in the garden bed. Thursday was a double at the gym morning and evening so I took no shot. ;-)

Friday the kids ran through the sprinklers. This was Mason first time through them and he did not like them at all. He rather get his hand wet. It was so funny...Julia led him in the middle with her and he could not figure out how to get out of the water. Then he had his arms up like a robot so stiff lol. But he enjoyed watching sister.

Saturday we drove over the hill and through some more to a friends B-day BBQ. I saw these and thought these would be really cool to photograph. I should pull over and I did on a curvy 2 lane road I did just that. And I am pleased with them.

Hello Friends! Friday starts the celebration of Mother's day for me. DH works Sunday's so we had a long weekend of fun! We visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you live in Cali its a must see. One of my favorite places to go.

We got a late start o 1 1/2 hours late start not to bad but that does make a big difference when you want to look at everything at the museum. After we finished there we went to Sea Side Beach and played for awhile then watch the sun set.

The whole time we were at the aquarium all Julia could talk about was playing in the sand with her bucket and shovel. ;-) I am thinking about getting a year pass to the place, and visit it more with the kiddies. During the week while the crowds are small. Its a great place to learn about things. And I get to inhale the lovely salt water air. Mason Loves to watch the fish and sharks in the tanks. He really enjoyed it. Julia liked the touch pool.

O another thing I took some shots of a Sea horse I have never heard of or seen. Its not that great but its very interesting. Maybe I can get back and take better ones.

Hello Ladies!! Wow busy week. Thursday picture is of a contract to the gym I belong to. I have taken a challenge Operation Bikini Bod!! LOL Lord knows I won't be looking that good but, I will be in better health. What it is a group class of about 6 ladies so far an hour long twice a week. I did the first class on Thursday the day I signed up. But I was the only one to show so guess what I got a personal class ;-) Very nice indeed ;-) My goal is to loose 20 lbs. I can so do this and I am ready. So cardio 5 times a week 45 mins long and then my 2 classes. I also do some other classes but I think this is very good. I am very excited to be part of this group.

This time of the year we have a Spring Fair. We went to it on Friday. The weather was overcast but warm then later on during the day it started to sprinkle then rain. We were in short sleeves and shirts. No umbrella ;-) We got pretty wet except for little Mason. He was in the stroller the canopy covered most of his body except his legs. The rain water collected on the canopy then it would dump right onto to his legs. He didn't mind. Julia had a huge dolphin that she used as a cover but then she was just so wet that it didn't even matter. This picture is of Little Mason on his first pony ride. He enjoyed it a lot. He was so interested in everything that was going on at the fair he just soaked it all in.

Julia has been on these ponies for 4 years now every year we get a picture taken and it very exciting to see last years picture, and this years side by side. To see the difference and how much she has grown. The funny thing is 2 years ago she wore a shirt we brought back from Canada to the fair. This year she wore the same shirt. That thing still fits her. It was big to begin with. So cool! We all got a laugh out of it.

Julia is at the age where she can start enjoying her self on these rides. Last year was the first year she went on he rides some with me. This year she said, "Mommy I can do it by myself." "OK dear!" She really wanted to go on the Ferris wheel. Thank god they had a mini one. Then DH told her to lean forward and I was standing away taking the pictures. I about freaked out... I forgot that they rock. I told her please don't do that. Then gave the hubby a glare ;-) She enjoyed it. I only had to go on one with her. There was another ride that she almost cried, and wanted off, but she pulled through.

This was something else she has been wanting to do for the past 2 years. This year she finally was able to go on it. It was so much fun to watch her. Rich stood in front of her to help her bounce. She was so light that she was not touching the ground enough to push off. I was standing behind Rich and taking the pictures I found myself pushing off the ground as if I was jumping lol. Maybe next year I will do it with her ;-) I like this picture because her hair was all up and her face expression is great ;-)

Saturday we went to the Library. Have not been there in a long time sad to say ;-( But here are a few books we picked out. We had a nice girly day. No boys ;-) We first started with the library, then went over to the used book store we have in town which was closed because of the fair ;-( Miss Julia needed some new panties so went to the store for those and then went back to the library then home.

Sunday I drove Julia to Casa de Fruita. Its a half way point to San Jose. We were meeting Grandma there. I forgot my camera ;-( I remember right when I got out of town. I thought do I want to turn around, no then I will be late and make Grandma wait so no. Then I get a call from grandma asking where we were? "Um 15 minuets away or so. Where are you?" She tells me um we hit some traffic and we are in San Jose/Morgan Hill. Click. SHIT I should have turned around and got the camera now I will be waiting lol ::smiles::

I did take pictures but not with my camera with hers so when I go and pick Julia up I will post my pics then. ;-)

Monday, with Julia at Grandma's what will mommy and brother do?? UM go shopping for a bra lol. A very hard thing to do with both. I took advantage of my break. So this picture is of us back at Casa de Fruita having a break from driving. Mason could not handle the whole drive. Funny Maybe because Julia was not there to laugh with. We stopped and took a walk, nursed, and he tried to drive the car. He likes to climb on the steering wheel and tries to get on the dash board. lol This kid climbs anything lol. He had so MUCH fun doing this that when I pulled him away he tried to get away. Like he could run away from me in the driver seat of the car lol. Good Laughs ;-)

Julia pretending she is a cat.

While I was down there I kind of tried adjusting things, I can't remember what settings adjust what without going to the manual. I need to study it lol Yeah I will put that on the list. lol anyways this is the best one its still not that good but its a start and I like it.

My lil' man. He started walking around with his hands folded behind his back. I love it. It reminds me of an old wise man minus the huge smile on his face, taking strolls around the park observing people, and things that pass by. Almost like he is searching for something so much concentration ;-)

O this is the spinach from our garden we picked for dinner. Julia started eating it before we washed it. Thank goodness for organic lol a little dirt never hurt. ;-)

The kiddies were extremely giggly here. Julia was on a roll and then Mason started in. Kids just love boxes It is so cool ;-)

Today was a beautiful day we headed over to the park. Every park we went to had a b-day party going on. The second park there was a jump house and a treasure hunt the kids got to participate in. Did not even know the people it was really kind of them. And they both got a goodie bag ;-) WOW!

This is of Rich going down the slide that shocked the hell out of him all the way down he was yelling. He said that was like 150 v LOL I laughed my ass off. Julia gave this to me this morning. While I was trying to get up she came in and found green paper (my favorite color) and took daddy and brother in her room to make me something. It was top secret stuff. She had the door closed and I was not allowed to come in. She drew me holding an energy drink with a red bow on it. Which I think is funny because I don't drink them. Dad was helping her with it, and I think that's what dad was wanting. ;-) Then there is a bat with its tongue sticking out. I love these drawings. I have them hanging on my bedroom wall. She gets very proud when I tape them up there ;-)

This is the first time Julia has gone into my closet and played dress up with clothes and shoes together. To make the skirt fit she used a rubber band and wrapped it around so clever ;-)

Saturday us and family went to see Jeff Dunham at the Hp pavilion. I didn't take this picture my mother in law did. So we have left to right like it has a ton of people lol. Me, Laura, Julie. We had a good time. Except DH got a bad cut from opening a bottle ;-( he's doing fine though. The show was fun. There was about 13 of us. It's fun to mob in bigger groups ;-)

Monday night taking the garbage out there was this huge moth just chillen on my wall. Yuck When I see things like this I just think of it getting stuck in my hair and buzzing around my ear lol. But it was really big and neat to look at ;-)

I stayed up to late the night before. So It was a little hard to get up in the morning but I thought for sure that Miss Julia would wake up late because, of the late night. She woke up before the Bunny hid the eggs ;-( LOL It turned out OK she laid with me in bed while dd went out and hid them all. I like doing it too but O well maybe next year I will get my stuff together. LOL Here is the eggs she found Mason had so much fun doing it. He did very well. Julia was very happy ;-)

Then we had DH sister and her family over for lunch and here are the cousins together. Thank goodness for Laura saying OK lets get a picture right when they got there because I was busy and would of remember when they were so not in the mood for it. It turned out good. Saturday we got things for Sunday ;-), I took Julia to see The Hannah Montana Movie with my sister in law and niece. That was a cute film. The girls liked it. Then we decorated eggs in the evening. That was fun. Mason broke a few eggs before we died them. I tried to decorate with glitter and well not again. Everyone enjoyed the night and it was great!
